developing multilingual dyslexia assessment tools
We design evidence-based tools that identify reading difficulties in children from diverse language backgrounds. Our assessments aim to reduce bias, increase early identification, and support equitable access to intervention for multilingual learners. By bridging research and practice, we help schools meet the needs of all readers.
We investigate how children think about and manipulate language across multiple languages. By measuring skills like phonological, morphological, and syntactic awareness, we aim to understand the pathways that support literacy and language growth in multilingual learners. Our work informs teaching and assessment practices that reflect the full range of children’s linguistic knowledge.
